We reached Ventura late night on Saturday so that we can start early on Sunday and cover some places around.
Our stay was very close to Ventura Pier so we decided to go there for the sunrise. Sunrise is really amazing here and even on sunday morning there were 1-2 people more so pretty much we had the palce to ourself. We had to checkout by 11 so spent some time on pier and then came back to hotel.

I love brunches and I always look for new places to go our for brunch. We found this amazing place Harbor Cove Cafe for burnch. It is right across Harbor Cove Beach, we had an amazing burnch at Cade and then went to the beach to take a stroll.

We were looking for 1-2 more palces to visit in Ventura before leaving and found this park called Grant Park from where you get the view of entire town and Pacific.

It was 12:30 and we had a lot of times in hand. We had planned to reach Santa Barbara by evening. We had an option to cover beaches on the way or go to Lake Casitas Recreation Area. We had visited 4 beaches already on the trip so ended up going at Lake Casitas Recreaton Area. Although the lake was almost dry and a lot of water sports/activites were stopped I loved the place. Park is huge, there are a lot of camping grounds, lot of places to just sit around and just relax. We took a tea and coffee from a nearby cafe and spend some time walking in the park.

At around 4:00 PM we reached Santa Barbara and went ahead to Stearns Wharf. It’s probably a must to go when you are in Santa Barbara. There are a few really good restaurants and a great little seafood place out towards the end. You can sit and watch pier fishermen reeling in their catches as ht pelicans look on. There is an ice cream and candy shop. We spend sometime strolling around the area, ate a llittle, watched the sunset and then decided to call it a day.
