Grand Canyon of Yellowstone

Yellowstone is full of surprises, while it is famous for geysers, hot springs, Grand Prismatic, lakes I did not expect it to have such an amazing waterfall. The Upper and Lower Falls of the Yellowstone River add to the grandeur of this unique natural treasure.

The Lower Falls (of the Yellowstone River) was by far the most popular waterfall in Yellowstone National Park, and it could very well be the park’s signature waterfall. Because of how easy it was to get such a good view of the falls this lookout also tended to get crowded.

The 109-foot (33 m) Upper Falls flows over similar rocks. The large rocks upstream from Upper Falls are remnants of a lava flow resistant to erosion.

Believe this, many of the most famous places in Yellowstone are so dramatic, remarkable and other worldly, even the most amazing pictures and videos don’t do them justice. You have to see them in person! Yellowstone Falls and The Grand Canyon of Yellowstone defiantly falls into that special group.
